New Bedroom Walls

I promised to share photos of our bedroom in its current state.  Two weekends ago, I painted the master bedroom and bathroom.  There are still two small areas in the bedroom unpainted.  There is a tiny hallway to the door and a tiny hallway to the bathroom.  Honestly, I ran out of energy those days... and paint was running short.  So... I still technically need to do those areas.  Hopefully I do it soon before it goes so far back on the back burner that I learn to live with white halls and forget about it.  :)

The color used in the bedroom is "Fawn"... a Martha Stewart color used in Behr paints.
Here is our bed.  Ideally I'd like to see a nice upholstered off-white headboard.  We're still trying to figure out the colors thing.  The sage green pillows are left over from the last bed set.  The terra-cotta sheets are the nicest ones we own for our bed.  At some point, I'll get it all figured out.  LOL

Here's another shot of the bed and windows.  I want to hang some beautiful ivory satin/silk curtains over there.  Isn't it funny how some photos make things look so big.  Yeah... I'm typing this at the desk shown below and this room looks nowhere as big as the above photo.   To the left of the windows, we have a lamp.  I want to get a big comfy chair in there one day.  Across from the bed is our one dresser with a small TV inside.  I didn't photograph it since it's a bit cluttered.  :)

Here is the desk area.  We don't have a large designated "office area" in our house, seeing as though we use all available rooms as bedrooms.  So we set up this area in our bedroom.  It's where I do the blogging and Thirty-One paperwork.  I'm a little embarrassed by the clutter in my paper-catcher files there.

Here is the bathroom.  It's painted in a slightly lighter shade.  It's "Toasted Wheat" by Behr.  So warm and really went well with the tiles in there.

This frame, which used to be in our last home, holding pictures of our three children.  But, we adopted our littlest a few years ago, making our number of kids... four.  Uh oh.

So, instead of using it to hold the kids' photos, we switched to some meaningful photos.  These were taken in China, when we were there adopting our youngest.  I love looking at these pictures every morning, because it reminds us of such a beautiful place.

  1. Love the color of the walls especially the bath and the picture is great. Also like how you organized under the sink.I have been doing a lot of that with pull-out trays and it really helps on the bending down and getting stuff from the back. Blessings.
